Project Details

Waterplay’s slide activity centre at Belton was part of a $1.7 million renovation that took a dilapidated outdoor community pool from a neglected mainstay to a community water park; it includes two large-scale slides, a lazy river, and a floating obstacle course. The modular design of the slide activity centre is a perfect fit for this project; surrounded by a wading pool, it encourages kids to use the interactive features, like the water cannons and dumping buckets, to engage with those playing around them.

Belton received a huge response from the community—the facility reached its maximum capacity of 10,000 visitors on opening day. Tiffany Parks, Aquatic Supervisor for Belton Outdoor Water Park, says, “I absolutely love watching families play on the slide activity centre; it’s perfect for those with younger toddlers, while older kids can’t resist the interactive features on the decks.”
