The Lily Pad at North Mecklenburg Park

This June, North Mecklenburg Park proudly opened The Lily Pad, Huntersville’s first-ever splash pad—a vibrant, pond-themed aquatic play area that has quickly become a favourite gathering spot. Designed to engage all ages, The Lily Pad offers an exhilarating play experience that seamlessly blends imagination with natural beauty. From the thrilling Sling Soaker that drenches anyone brave enough to stand beneath it, to toddler-friendly features like the Flutterby and Hopper, every detail inspires endless fun, creativity, and adventure.

Adding a whimsical, forest-like charm to the pad is the enchanting Leaflet from our Wildwood Collection. The Waterways Waterfall invites children to interact with flowing water as it glides through channels, sparking curiosity and encouraging imaginative play. Two Wiggly Cannons let kids spray water in a 120° arc, helping to develop motor and cognitive skills, while multiple ground sprays deliver exciting splashes with each step, turning every moment into a playful escape.

The colourful Life Floor surfacing ties the entire splash pad together, transforming it into an enchanting lily pond that’s as safe as it is visually captivating. With its slip-resistant surface, children can play confidently, staying active and engaged in a safe environment.

Through collaboration with Life Floor, Water Technology Inc., and McAdams Landscape Architecture, along with expert installation by Landmark Aquatics, The Lily Pad was brought to life with the highest standards of quality and safety. This beloved addition to North Mecklenburg Park has quickly become the main attraction, drawing families and community members to experience water-filled fun in a setting that celebrates natural beauty.

The Lily Pad is now the centerpiece of a family-friendly destination that also features ball fields, soccer fields, a picnic shelter, and playgrounds—creating a go-to spot for recreation, relaxation, and enjoyment for everyone!
