Make a splash with friendly sea creatures before taking the plunge at Wyndham Park paddling pool. A new marine-inspired play pad gives this formerly aging facility—originally built in 1923—a refreshing new look.  The innovative design converts half of the existing pool space into ground level water features, making more room for interactive play while saving on water.
With ground sprays that tickle the toes, a giant whale’s tail flicking water in the air, and a toddler feature for gentle hands-on discovery, visitors of all ages and abilities can join in the fun. The addition of a retain and reuse system captures pool water to supply the play pad and hydrate surrounding gardens, and has earned Wyndham Park status as one of the top green spaces in the country. The restoration project launched by the South Kesteven District Council and supported by the Wyndham Park Forum, Wren, and Grantham Rotary Club, proves that water play never goes out of style. Grounds Maintenance Supervisor for the district, Steve Frisby says, “We are delighted that the new facility at Wyndham Park [with products provided by Waterplay] has surpassed expectation, and with increasing visitor numbers it is proving to be a huge hit with our community.”
